Biography
In the post -Ambedkarite period of sixties and seventies the potential for literary facet of Ambedkarite movement was well conceived and recognised by many followers.
The most prominent amongst them was Dr. M. N. Wankhade, the most brilliant and erudite personality who held many responsible positions and high offices.

- 1924 - Born at Thugaon (now Purna Nagar), Amravati, Maharashtra (Jan 20 1924).
- 1945- Gold Medal, B.A. (Hons.), Morris College; invited by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar to teach at Milind Mahavidyalaya.
- 1963- M.A., Indiana University (USA); later Ph.D., University of Florida (USA).
- 1960s–70s Principal, Milind Mahavidyalaya; Board Chair & Dean, Marathwada University; founded/edited Asmitadarsha.
- 1973 Nominated Member, Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC).
- 1978 Appointed Chairman, MPSC; passed away in Houston, USA.
